The National Security Strategic Investment Fund is the United Kingdom government's deep tech venture capital fund focused on dual-use technologies for security and defence.
Seraphim Space led the pre-seed round to help accelerate development of the company decision-layer software.
"Increasingly, the constraint is no longer hardware but human attention. We can deploy more drones than ever before, yet we still ask operators to control them one by one, often in environments where communications are unreliable. True autonomy breaks that one‑to‑one link, allowing humans to supervise and direct teams of systems rather than individual machines. That shift is essential for supporting modern military missions, where scale, speed and resilience matter, and where operators must remain focused on intent and outcomes rather than manual control."
Amadeus Capital Partners led the seed round with participation from Playfair, Episode 1, Osney Capital and NSSIF to help the counter disinformation firm grow its engineering operations.
"Europe is facing the most significant wave of hybrid warfare in modern history. Disinformation is no longer just a peripheral nuisance, but now a reputational threat and strategic weapon targeting nations, institutions and corporations alike. Refute was created to meet this moment. We help governments and commercial organisations strengthen their resilience, protect their operations, and outpace their adversaries to function in an increasingly hostile information environment."
The financing was led by EMV Capital Partners and will support operational scaling and early customer deployments.
"We are pleased to have secured this significant investment from our existing shareholder base, and to welcome NSSIF as a new strategic shareholder. This support is a testament to the disruptive potential of Sofant’s technology and the remarkable progress our team has made in recent months. With this additional capital, we are positioned to accelerate our commercial deployment and redefine what is possible in wireless communications."
The Series C round was led by Planet First Partners to support scaling and technological roadmaps.
"Quantum error correction is the critical enabler for the industry’s next huge wave of progress, from today’s small error-prone machines to large and reliable quantum computers that will start a new age of human progress as significant as the digital revolution."
The pre-series A round was led by Amadeus Capital Partners, Expeditions Fund, and IQ Capital.
"Large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computing will bring about the technological revolution of our generation. We have built an exceptional team dedicated to the mission of building the quantum networking infrastructure necessary to make this a reality. We are grateful to the investors who share our vision for their support as we scale and commercialise our solution."
Molten Ventures led the Series B round with participation from Altair and existing investors to accelerate the development of Deltaflow.OS.
"Solving quantum error correction – one of the defining scientific challenges of our times – will enable quantum computers to accurately simulate the true complexity of nature. Armed with useful quantum computers, humans will enter the Quantum Age, where we go from slow trial and error to solve complex problems to an era of rapid design using quantum computers. We haven’t even begun to imagine the many ways such technology will positively transform our world."
