Mutable Tactics builds robotics autonomy software that allows unmanned systems to operate as coordinated teams in contested environments. The Cambridge-based firm focuses on bridging the gap between hardware deployment and human control limits.
Mutable Tactics has secured £1.5m in pre-seed funding to advance its robotics autonomy software. Seraphim Space led the round, with participation from the National Security Strategic Investment Fund, Koro, Entrepreneurs First, and Transpose. The capital will be directed towards expanding the engineering team and accelerating product development for military applications.
The company develops an AI-powered decision layer designed to enable aerial, maritime, and ground drones to function collaboratively in environments where communications or GPS are compromised. By allowing one operator to supervise multiple systems, the technology aims to remove human bottlenecks in modern defence operations.
