Richard brings financial services experience from roles at Merrill Lynch and the Bank of New York. He currently serves as CEO and founder of Blackfinch Group and Blackfinch Ventures.
Elly serves as a communications officer at UCAS, following marketing and PR roles at Blackfinch Group. Her earlier background includes administrative and support positions in recruitment, higher education, and retail.
Nic brings venture investment and product leadership experience, having previously co-founded Rhizome Live and held product roles at Nokia Siemens Networks and Apertio. He currently serves as a director at Blackfinch Spring VCT and senior ventures manager at Blackfinch Investments.
The round was led by Santander Alternative Investments to support the commercial rollout of the company optical ground station.

The Seed round was led by Macquarie Group and Blackfinch Ventures to fund international expansion and product development.
