Metris Energy develops software platforms and artificial intelligence agents to automate the management of renewable energy assets.
Metris Energy has secured $5m in a seed round led by PT1 Ventures to advance its artificial intelligence agents and expand into the German market. The financing saw participation from returning backers Octopus Ventures and AENU, alongside new investors Blackfinch Ventures, Plug and Play, and Love Ventures. Founded in 2023, the company provides a unified platform combining financial and technical data for commercial solar installations, helping operators manage assets more efficiently.
The fresh capital will support the evolution of Metria, the company's autonomous agent designed to handle scheduling, fault resolution, and performance monitoring. Metris currently oversees more than 10,000 solar plants and expects growing demand as power grids incorporate higher volumes of decentralized energy infrastructure and batteries.
Investor perspective
"Natasha and the Metris Energy team are building the data infrastructure that makes energy assets visible in real-time, unlocking the opportunity for AI to transform the space. Their platform is already driving down the cost of operating asset portfolios at scale and opening market access to flexible energy contracts,"
