"This funding round is a huge milestone for Onto as it sets us off on our journey to Europe. Germany, a nation with an incredible automotive history as Europe’s biggest car-producing country, is a market with huge potential and a great appetite for electric cars. We’re excited to offer something different."
The early seed round was led by Fair By Design with participation from GC Angels and Ascension Ventures.
"On top of the obvious grief and shock, I discovered that the end-of-life industry was expensive and difficult to navigate, especially in an intensely emotional time. The industry had been largely untouched by technological innovation and needed to rapidly modernise."
Kernel Capital increased its backing alongside Accelerated Digital Ventures, Wharton Asset Management, and Clarendon Fund Managers.
"We are delighted to receive this injection of investment from Kernel and our other investors so we can continue our work with existing customers and advance new customer applications."
Accelerated Digital Ventures and The Bank of Ireland Kernel Capital Growth Fund participated in the latest funding round.
"Since our first investment in B-Secur we have been impressed by the drive and determination of the management team and their highly skilled technical experts who have worked hard to elevate this technology and to pair it with partners and applications which we strongly believe will change how we live and work. They are at an exciting stage and we are very proud to support them in taking their vision forward on a global scale."
