MTech Capital led the seed round with participation from Boost Capital Partners, D2 Fund, and Portfolio Ventures.
"In regulated industries, quality and scale have always been at odds. You can review everything and go broke, or cut corners and hope for the best. AI that actually works changes that equation by handling routine validation at scale while humans focus on the complex cases that need expert judgement."
The funding round includes a strategic minority investment from NatWest Group alongside other backers.
"2025 has been a year of validation, proving that SMEs and their funding partners need a more modern, data-driven approach to working capital. This investment round is a huge vote of confidence. It shows that established banks see the same opportunity we do: to bring liquidity closer to the point of need and help businesses fund growth more dynamically. Our goal is to reinvent the business overdraft for SMEs. When working capital flows easily, businesses invest, hire, and grow. That’s how we make finance work for the real economy again."
The pre-seed round was led by Outward VC and will support team expansion and international growth.
"Strategic procurement is one of the last frontiers for true automation because so much of it remains powered by intuition. Throughout my previous roles, I saw just how much instinct drives results, but also how much time is wasted and how much value is being left on the table because instinct alone can only go so far. Our goal at Monq isn’t to replace that judgment but to amplify it. By empowering procurement teams with strong, actionable, data-driven and intelligent insights, we’re giving enterprises the speed, clarity and confidence to negotiate at an entirely new scale while unlocking billions in hidden deal flow, value and efficiency before that value is lost to the company."
Episode 1 led the pre-seed round for the software discovery platform alongside Dreamcraft and Portfolio Ventures.
"We’ve spent our careers building startups, and we learned firsthand that a company’s success is tied to the technology it chooses. These decisions can make or break products, and often shape the long-term fate of an entire business. As seasoned engineering and data leaders, we’ve built tech infrastructure from the ground up, making tough, high-stakes calls along the way. We didn’t always get things right. Tech moves quickly, but there’s a lack of reliable, up-to-date guidance to make these critical decisions. That gap revealed a huge opportunity for us to help organisations unlock their true potential and embrace modern tools with confidence in the age of AI. We’re building Dragonfly to be the technology companion we always wished we had – one that empowers every company to make faster, better choices about the software they use to build and scale."
