Mercia Ventures manages regional investment vehicles including the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II.
The funding round was led by DSW Ventures with backing from Mercia and SFC Capital.

This puts us in a strong position as we move into the next phase of taking our products to market."
The Northumberland connectivity provider has secured its fourth injection of capital from the North East Venture Fund, managed by Mercia.
"Trench Networks has made great progress since our first investment two years ago. Its award-winning technology and rapid deployment times have enabled it to build a strong track record in the construction industry. As businesses of all types become increasingly dependent on internet connections, this latest funding will allow it to take advantage of opportunities in other sectors."
The funding follows a previous backing in 2017 and aims to support team expansion.

OneUp harnesses the power of data and brings greater visibility on performance, which in turn helps engage and motivate staff. It also injects an element of fun. This investment will enable us to further develop the system and reach a wider audience."
The funding round was backed by Mercia and Foresight through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund alongside private investors.

Beringea and Mercia backed the Series A round to support international growth and product development.
