"Our mission has always been to bring transparency to the student accommodation market – both for the students and for the sector. On the student side, we want every student to be able to choose where they study and live with confidence, powered by authentic, verified reviews from people with real experience. On the industry side, we have built a dataset that gives operators, investors and advisers the independent, accurate data they need to make optimal decisions. This funding enables us to invest in the platform to better support decision-making for the students and the sector. While researching mainland Europe and the US, we discovered similar challenges and are working with launch partners to expand the platform into these geographies. In the UK, we are further innovating the platform to enhance data-driven decision-making."
YFM Equity Partners backed the digital funeral planning provider to support its expansion and marketing efforts.
"Aura is well positioned at a point of structural change in the funeral services market. The team has built a differentiated, digital-first proposition that combines strong regulatory foundations with a high-quality customer experience. Importantly, they are doing so with a clear sense of purpose – helping to modernise and improve an industry that has historically underserved consumers. We were particularly impressed by the strength and ambition of the team, and their vision to build a broader end-of-life planning platform."
The investment was led by YFM Equity Partners and will be used to expand the team and accelerate product development.
"TiPJAR was created to give the hospitality industry a fair, transparent and reliable way to manage tips, and to help meet evolving tipping legalisation, increasing demands for transparency and changing consuming behaviour. Over the past seven years, we’ve grown rapidly and established ourselves as the market leader in this space – so much so that no other tipping-focused platform has attracted this level of financial backing."
Maven Capital Partners led a £40m investment alongside Kennet Partners, Federated Hermes Private Equity, and YFM Equity Partner.
"We founded Summize to bring contract clarity to the entire business, and Maven, along with our additional investors, has been a key partner in supporting that mission. Contracting shouldn’t be a bottleneck for growing midsize companies, so our goal is to help in-house legal teams use AI to reduce manual work and spend more time as strategic partners and business accelerators."
