The pre-seed round was led by founder Bradley Jones and backed by angels from Aligned Syndicate.
"More than 1,500 structured funding applications have gone through ThatRound’s matching workflow. Of the deals our AI engine surfaces to investors, two in three result in an intro request. And every single founder whose application doesn’t progress receives specific feedback on why — on fit, not a standard rejection. That second part shouldn’t feel remarkable, but in early-stage fundraising, it does. The fact that founders find that level of transparency unusual tells you everything about how the market has been working until now."
The funding round was co-led by DCVC and Kembara with participation from the British Business Bank and Firgun.
"Today's announcement reflects the strength of the team we have built and the progress they have delivered. Quantum computing will only achieve its full potential if it can be built on a platform that scales, and we believe silicon is the strongest route to achieving that. We are pleased to be joined by investors who share our vision and understand what it takes to build a foundational company in this field."
Andreessen Horowitz led the Series A round to support product development and network growth.
"A CV is a poor proxy for what someone is truly capable of. Ethos helps people to see the full shape of their expertise and where it fits in an AI-transformed economy – acting as their agent, opening doors they didn’t know existed, and giving companies a far more precise way to find the people they actually need. AI is reshaping the labour market faster than our tools for valuing human expertise can keep up. Ethos is built to change that,"
The $1bn valuation round was led by Symbotic to support the development of fast-charging power solutions for autonomous systems.
"Nyobolt is enabling the always-on, always-moving infrastructure that physical AI demands. The enterprises deploying autonomous systems at scale can’t afford downtime, swap time, or power flickers. Our technology delivers a powerful trifecta: improved performance, exceptional durability, and a more sustainable operation, enabling a new generation of machines to run harder and smarter."

The Series A round was led by YFM Equity Partners with participation from Mercia Ventures.
"Our mission has always been to bring transparency to the student accommodation market – both for the students and for the sector. On the student side, we want every student to be able to choose where they study and live with confidence, powered by authentic, verified reviews from people with real experience. On the industry side, we have built a dataset that gives operators, investors and advisers the independent, accurate data they need to make optimal decisions. This funding enables us to invest in the platform to better support decision-making for the students and the sector. While researching mainland Europe and the US, we discovered similar challenges and are working with launch partners to expand the platform into these geographies. In the UK, we are further innovating the platform to enhance data-driven decision-making."
