The London-based startup has secured pre-seed funding from Haatch Ventures and the British Business Bank to expand its team and defence operations.
"We spent years watching companies drown in their own data. The information was there, but getting to it meant waiting on overloaded engineering or data teams, with dozens of tasks ahead of yours! We started Dataline Labs because we believed there had to be a faster way – and now we’re proving it with a vote of confidence from investors and the MoD."
Puma Growth Partners led the Series A financing with backing from several returning investors and angels.
"We couldn't be happier to be partnering with Puma on this opportunity. We have the team, the tech, the market size and therefore the opportunity to build a $bn business helping brands launch and scale in the world's largest ecommerce market. We needed an investor who matched YASO's ambitions, and we have found that in Puma. We are also delighted with the other co-investors, including the Seed investors, both VCs and Angels, who have been there since day 1, who backed us again in this round. We can't wait to take YASO to the next level!"
The funding round was backed by Midven, Rigby Group, and Haatch Ventures.
"This investment, coupled with our success in the OneToWin competition, marks a significant milestone in our mission to revolutionise affordability assessments. With this funding, we can expand our team, enhance our technology, and bring our innovative solutions to a wider market. It’s hugely rewarding to be able to improve the financial well-being of individuals whilst also increasing efficiency for creditors."
The Seed round was led by Adjuvo with participation from Haatch Ventures, Unbundled VC, and multiple angel investors.
"Until now, receipts have represented nothing but waste and a wasted opportunity. We’re transforming the humble receipt from its static, destined-for-landfill status into a data-rich source of customer insight. The response we’ve seen from our early adopter retail partners says it all: our software drives engagement and unlocks valuable customer data. We’ve seen huge spikes in everything from email sign-ups to app downloads for the brands using our software. This investment will enable us to work with more retailers, make our products even more impactful, and prevent billions of receipts from heading to landfill."
Playfair Capital led the pre-seed round to fund the launch of the social commerce solution and team expansion.
"The Chinese ecommerce market is an extremely enticing one for Western brands, but the challenges of doing business there are nontrivial. Many brands never get started in China, whilst others receive piecemeal, misaligned and substandard service from a hotchpotch of uncoordinated service providers. Kuai’s tech first, full stack approach, combined with the incredibly deep and rich market experience of the team accumulated over many years, is a compelling proposition for any brand wanting to build a successful long-term business in China. We’re incredibly excited to be working with the team on this journey."
Haatch Ventures led the pre-seed round to help the learning platform scale its international presence and educator network.
"Pre-seed funding is a hugely exciting time for any start-up – it’s the launchpad from which the future can develop. Having the backing of industry heavyweights like Jason Foster gives me even more conviction in our mission to become the go to educator for data literacy amongst business users. Data-led, data-literate organisations are the future of business, and we are proud to be helping them and their employees get there."
Pembroke VCT led the £2.5m financing round with support from existing backers Haatch Ventures and Brick Capital Ventures.
"Auddy offers a unique and exciting prospect to businesses looking to use audio as a core part of their communications toolset and is poised to take advantage of surging growth in the podcasting sector over the coming years. We look forward to working closely with Andrew and his brilliant team to help Auddy achieve its ambitions in the years ahead."
The pre-seed round was led by firstminute Capital with backing from SeedX and Haatch Ventures.
"Instead of yet another one-click checkout, Volume is building the world’s first-ever transparent checkout. Ecommerce has a ‘hidden tax’ in the form of payment commissions to cards and ewallets, and consumers don’t know this ultimately impacts on the prices they pay. We want to finally bring transparency to this enormous market and kill all hidden fees. What Transferwise did for cross-border payments, we’ll do for online payments. We estimate that if every merchant were to implement our solution, the ecommerce industry could save $800 billion in fees."
Haatch Ventures and NorthInvest led the seed round to support international expansion and product development.
"We’re thrilled to be backing such an ambitious team committed to making the switch to electric vehicles much easier and a more sustainable future for all. Diode is uniquely placed to fill a growing gap in the market and has the potential to disrupt the industry across the UK and the rest of the world."
The seed round was led by Ufi Ventures to support product expansion across corporate and education markets.
"We’re living a pivotal moment for the L&D industry and we have a unique opportunity to build the future of what it means to learn, to give everyone a chance to unlock their full potential and make the workplace more humane."
The Falmouth startup secured backing from the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Investment Fund and Haatch Ventures to grow its live streaming platform.
"We want to make it as simple as possible for any streamer, anywhere, to host their own interactive show. That could be a quiz, a game show, a talk show with interactive elements, or any of the many formats we are planning to roll out in the next 12 months"
