Pembroke VCT led the £2.5m financing round with support from existing backers Haatch Ventures and Brick Capital Ventures.
Auddy is a podcast business operating in production, advertising sales, and private distribution. The London-based company manages thousands of shows and delivers millions of monthly downloads.
Auddy has secured £2.5m in a seed funding round led by Pembroke VCT, which contributed £1.8m to the total. The financing was backed by existing investors including Haatch Ventures and Brick Capital Ventures. The capital will be deployed to support organic growth and further investments in technology and content development.
Established in 2020, Auddy manages thousands of shows and operates multiple revenue streams covering podcast advertising, original production for major brands, and private podcast services. The firm aims to capitalise on the surging demand for audio content as weekly listener numbers climb.
From the founder
"Meeting Pembroke and working with Simon, Fred and Angus has been a thoroughly enjoyable and professional experience. From the first meeting between the Pembroke and Auddy teams, the detailed but agile approach has been refreshingly indicative of exciting times for the future of our partnership. Pembroke also showed considerable interest in and support for our existing and amazing family of shareholders and investors: as our lead investor, Pembroke has rightfully earned the position to support Auddy going into our next exciting chapter."
