Green Angel Syndicate is a network of specialist investors focused on climate change, backing start-up and early-stage companies across environment and energy sectors.
The funding round was backed by Barclays Sustainable Impact Capital, Mercia Ventures, the Midlands Engine Investment Fund, and Green Angel Syndicate to fuel expansion.

The funding round was led by Barclays Sustainable Impact Capital and MEIF Proof of Concept and Early Stage Fund to support national expansion and job creation.

The photonics company has raised £12m in a Series A round led by Schlumberger to scale manufacturing of its greenhouse gas imaging technology.
"The technology is unique in the emissions monitoring marketplace in its potential to achieve the greatest amount of GHG abatement at the lowest cost of ownership,"
The Series A round was led by Acuity Investments to expand the company's DNA-based bio-monitoring products.
"Forensic scientists have used DNA to identify individuals at crime scenes for years – now we can use our technology to identify the whole range of species, from bacteria to birds, present in the environment using small samples of soil or water. Our technology can identify tiny fragments of DNA left behind by species and pinpoint exactly which species it is from."
Mott MacDonald Ventures has joined the Clean Growth Fund and Green Angel Syndicate to back the energy flexibility platform.

The seed round was led by Green Angel Syndicate with participation from a syndicate of green investors and industry partners.

Green Angel Syndicate led the investment round to accelerate international expansion and support team growth.
