The Bristol biotech secured the backing to expand manufacturing capabilities and grow its footprint across European markets.
"Decarbonising construction cannot come at the expense of cost or performance. The challenge has been scaling biomaterials industrially and integrating them into real construction supply chains."
The funding round was led by Oyster Bay Venture Capital, Clean Growth Fund, and JamJar Investments to support the construction of Europe's largest cultivated meat site.

Clean Growth Fund led the convertible loan note round alongside participation from New Agrarian, SEED Innovations, and Döhler Group.
The funding will support the Sheffield spinout in moving its porous silicon anode technology from the laboratory toward commercial deployment.
