The pre-seed round was led by Manchester Angels to support the completion of the Child Labour Index and advance stewardship tools for investors.
"To be able to oversubscribe the funding round in the current economic conditions is a monumental achievement for HACE and a testament to the growing awareness of the scale of the child labour issue and the role that technology will play in sustainably eradicating it."
The pre-seed investment was completed across two tranches to support the scale of the company's bootcamp model.
"At Ufi, we continue to be enthused by the unique learner proposition at CAPSLOCK, enabling learners to access skills needed for work in high demand sectors in the UK, such as Cyber Security, whilst removing the upfront financial barriers to training, through their innovative Income Share Agreement model."
The funding round was led by GC Angels alongside private angel backers to develop home learning applications.
"Home-schooling during lockdown has taught so many parents how important education is to our children. We know that education doesn’t stop at school, so we are really pleased to receive this investment thanks to GC Angels and the private investors to develop an app that parents can use at home to make extracurricular learning fun. At Emile Education, we’re committed to developing our offering based on extensive research, and we’re looking forward to working with more experts to expand our offering to cover the broader education curriculum."
The early seed round was led by Fair By Design with participation from GC Angels and Ascension Ventures.
"On top of the obvious grief and shock, I discovered that the end-of-life industry was expensive and difficult to navigate, especially in an intensely emotional time. The industry had been largely untouched by technological innovation and needed to rapidly modernise."
GC Angels led the pre-seed round to help develop the company software offering and expand the team.
"Remote working has boomed during COVID-19. We’re excited to help newly remote workers to discover their core values and work more productively with their teammates. By enabling us to recruit a new senior developer. And appoint Jess Jackson to our board. This investment will also strengthen the diversity of our already inclusive team. As we look to scale up in the UK and beyond."
