CAPSLOCK raises £1m pre-seed funding from Ufi VocTech Trust and other backers to expand training cohorts.
The pre-seed investment was completed across two tranches to support the scale of the company's bootcamp model.
CAPSLOCK operates an online training provider that runs intensive bootcamps to re-skill adults for careers in cyber security. The firm uses income share agreements to defer upfront tuition costs for students.
CAPSLOCK has secured £1m in a pre-seed funding round completed across two tranches. The investment was backed by participants including Ufi VocTech Trust, GC Angels, the British Government, and nine angel investors.
The capital will support the expansion of the firm's cyber security training cohorts and enable team growth. CAPSLOCK uses income share agreements to allow students to defer tuition fees until they secure employment in the sector.
From the founder
"Increasing diversity within the UK’s cyber security workforce is something we’re proud to be leading. It’s at the heart of everything we do, from removing financial barriers with Income Share Agreements, through to encouraging people of all genders, ethnic backgrounds and types of neurodiversity to enrol and re-skill with CAPSLOCK. This funding allows us to scale throughout 2022, grow the CAPSLOCK team and look towards re-skilling thousands of UK adults a year."
