The Bristol health tech startup has raised capital to support product launch and research.
"We are delighted to be partnering with the British Design Fund. With their support we will further advance our mission to revolutionise dementia care by providing carers with much-needed tools for managing distressed behaviours which are one of the most challenging aspects of dementia care. The investment will enable us to accelerate the deployment of SmartSocks™ into care settings, ultimately reducing distress and improving the lives of people with dementia and other conditions that affect communication, whilst also easing pressure on their carers."
The company has secured funding from ASICS Ventures to accelerate the commercial launch of its haptic wearable armbands.
"Collaborating with a renowned sports company like ASICS not only validates our technology but also opens new doors to expand our user base and enhance our product offerings. This partnership allows us to combine our expertise in haptic wearables with ASICS’ knowledge of sports apparel and fitness training to create an even more immersive and effective fitness experience for our users"
The medical device maker has raised fresh capital from backers including Crimson International Investment to support its global growth plans.
"We are delighted to secure further funding, as well as another strategic investor and partner to take our pioneering Parkinson’s monitoring device into new markets. NICE’s positive evaluation and recommendation, which supports NHS use of PDMonitor, was a big endorsement for our business and technology."
The financing round was led by Incisive Ventures with participation from a broad syndicate of institutional and retail backers.
"Millions of people are seeking an easy way to feel less stressed and anxious and we’ve seen increasing demand for our product. In the second half of 2022 we grew almost 300% and this round will allow us to scale and serve even more people,"
