Sensate secures £2.7m in seed funding led by Incisive Ventures to expand its wellness technology operations
The financing round was led by Incisive Ventures with participation from a broad syndicate of institutional and retail backers.
Sensate is a wellness technology company that develops patented relaxation devices and applications designed to help users manage stress and anxiety. The business operates globally with a direct to consumer model.
BioSelf Technology, trading as Sensate, has raised £2.7m in a seed funding round led by Incisive Ventures. The capital will be deployed to scale operations and reach a broader audience following rapid growth in the latter half of the previous year.
The financing also drew participation from a range of co-investors including Share Ventures, Geek Ventures, Dangerous Ventures, and Unlock Venture Partners. Additional backing came from What If Ventures, Moai Capital, and 37 Angels, alongside a crowdfunding campaign via Wefunder which enabled retail investors and supporters to take equity stakes.
The company combines hardware with infrasonic therapy to activate the body's natural self-regulation mechanisms. Following recognition from major publications and strong revenue performance through late 2022, the latest injection of funds supports the firm's ongoing expansion within the global wellness sector.
