PD Neurotechnology secures £2.3m Series A investment led by Crimson International Investment to fund international expansion

PD Neurotechnology

The medical device maker has raised fresh capital from backers including Crimson International Investment to support its global growth plans.

£2.3MSeries A

PD Neurotechnology develops medical technology designed to monitor and manage Parkinson disease. Its wearable hardware allows physicians to track motor symptoms using objective data.

PD Neurotechnology has secured £2.3m in Series A funding from Crimson International Investment alongside existing and new backers. The capital injection follows a conditional recommendation from NICE, clearing a path for the company to supply its wearable Parkinson monitoring device to the NHS. Additional participation came from the Onassis Foundation, Big Pi Ventures, and Seedblink special purpose fund PDNTECH Investors, with Crimson also taking on exclusive distribution rights in the Gulf region. The proceeds will be directed toward international expansion.

From the founder

"We are delighted to secure further funding, as well as another strategic investor and partner to take our pioneering Parkinson’s monitoring device into new markets. NICE’s positive evaluation and recommendation, which supports NHS use of PDMonitor, was a big endorsement for our business and technology."
