Workhorse has raised £391k through a Seedrs crowdfunding campaign to expand its software offering for small businesses.

Not only are there huge swathes of industry that are yet to capitalise on the benefits, 94% of businesses are cited as struggling with the apps and software they are already using. Workhorse’s exceptional flexibility and deep customisation is unlike existing solutions and extremely well-placed to solve these business problems across multiple sectors."
The funding round was led by Green Angel Syndicate to expand international laboratories and build the UK scientific team.
"forensic scientists have used DNA to identify individuals at crime scenes for years – now we can use our technology to identify the whole range of species, from bacteria to birds, present in the environment using small samples of soil or water taken by non-experts in the field and processed in our laboratories. Our technology can identify tiny fragments of DNA left behind by species and pin point exactly which species it is from."
The seed round was led by Pi Labs with participation from Entrepreneur First, MMC Ventures, and Rising Tide Europe.
