Edinburgh based Machine Labs has secured £800k in seed funding to advance its machine learning platform for database marketing. Techstart Ventures led the round, with participation from angel investors and company founders, alongside supplementary grant funding from Scottish Enterprise.
The capital has already enabled the firm to assemble a team of eight staff located near Edinburgh Castle. The software aims to make promotional messages more relevant to consumers by analysing large volumes of transaction data.
Andrew Veitch, founder and chief executive, previously co founded Diet Chef. The company is preparing for the commercial launch of its software later in 2019.
