The seed round was co-led by Playfair Capital and Credo Ventures with participation from Techstart Ventures and angel investors.
"Before founding Continuum Industries, we led a 150-people strong hyperloop team at the University of Edinburgh. While there, we built the UK’s first hyperloop prototype vehicle and successfully competed in contests run by SpaceX and Virgin Hyperloop One. It was the hyperloop moonshot that made us realise the socio-economic value of infrastructure and forced us to think about better ways of taking infrastructure projects from ideas to reality."
The London startup secured backing from Pentech and Speedinvest to drive the development of its neural image compression software.
"As humans, our eyes have evolved to care about certain colours and properties of the natural world. It helped us survive as hunters and gathers. We are more sensitive to the colour green as it represents fertile areas with food and water; we notice the slightest of movements in still scenes, as this helps us flee from sneaking predators."
Prime Advantage Capital Partners joins the funding round to help the impact sensor developer advance towards early commercialisation.
"Prime Advantage was invited to take part towards the end of the third round raise and was able to secure investment very quickly. Thanks to their efforts, we’re now able to move forward to the exciting commercialisation stage for the technology."
The Scottish wearable technology startup has raised £750k from private investors including Sir Terry Leahy to support market entry and product development.
"We went to market with EDGE six months ago and have already signed up a series of sports teams including football clubs from grassroots to professional level across the UK."
Naviter Capital provided the debt and equity package alongside private investors.

This is especially important when it comes to selling work that they would have otherwise missed out on."
