The grant from Innovate UK will be used to accelerate deployment speeds and extend software functionality for infection control in hospitals.

Those awarded funding from our competition will support the UK in delivering potential solutions and services to facilitate our recovery from the pandemic."
The University of Oxford spinout secured £10.4m from backers including Parkwalk Advisors and Oxford Sciences Innovation to expand its presence in the insurance sector.
"There are some technologies that can change a small part of the insurance value chain, but there are no technology companies that can help insurers transform the entire insurance operation. Therefore, we had been seeking a reliable partner with first-class technology in order to jointly develop such solutions across the insurance value chain."
Innovate UK awarded the grant through its Sustainable Innovation Fund to back the development of the Talent Support Platform.

The investment round was led by Blake Picquet and will support team expansion and product development.
"When we started Edge we were very focused on the value of smart contracts for both businesses and the individual. The esports and video games industry is young and fast paced and unfortunately certain processes and regulations often fall by the wayside. Our ambition initially was to create something that would make the industry safer and over time we’ve found our Edge technology has multiple purposes,"
The funding round was led by Foresight Group and Williams Advanced Engineering alongside existing backer IP Group.

We have developed world leading 3D audio technology that we have already started applying to consumer applications; this funding will help us build the team further and drive the adoption of our technology faster.
