Oxford Sciences Innovation is a science business builder that works with academics to commercialise research and build companies based on Oxford science.
Charles brings investment, executive, and board experience from roles including CEO of Oxford Sciences Innovation, co-founder of Monograph Capital, and chair of Patagonia.
Martin advises on deep tech at Oxford Science Enterprises, having previously been a principal at Oxford Sciences Innovation. He also holds non-executive directorships across several companies.
Matt brings financial and investment experience from roles at Mind Foundry, Oxford Science Enterprises, and Goldman Sachs. He serves as chief financial officer at Fractile.
The Series B round was led by the Blue Venture Fund to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence in echocardiography.

The financing round was led by Oxford Sciences Innovation to support the company in expanding its peptide discovery operations.

Oxford Sciences Innovation led the seed investment, which will fund commercialisation and technological advancement.

The financing round was led by Vulpes Investment Management with backing from existing investors to fund first in-human data acquisition.
"The current device market for brain aneurysms is valued at well over $1bn and is growing rapidly year-on-year. One of the biggest challenges when it comes to treating neurovascular disease is having devices with high efficacy whilst minimising adverse events. Studies show that often multiple attempts are made to place treatment devices, as they often have challenges of landing accurately, opening and maintaining position. This can lead to adverse events and multiple devices being used. Procedures typically cost over $50,000 to treat a brain aneurysm and a next generation flow diverter overcoming unmet needs, offers the chance for more effective, safer and cost effective treatments as well as allowing many more patients to benefit. We plan to use this funding to bring Oxford Endovascular’s ground-breaking technology to the next stage and gain clinical data from human studies."
The University of Oxford spinout secured £10.4m from backers including Parkwalk Advisors and Oxford Sciences Innovation to expand its presence in the insurance sector.
