The funding round will support the company transition to a technology licensing model and expand research capabilities.

"This investment accelerates our ability to develop scalable solutions for our technology partners, helping them navigate the changing global energy landscape. With Barclays’ support, we can bring our technology into more homes and buildings in the UK through a broader range of channels while improving the grid’s capacity to integrate renewable energy. Why pay windfarms to shut down when we can pay households to switch on?"
— Pete Armstrong, CEO and co-founder
Pre-Seed
£510K

GC Angels led the pre-seed round, which will fund team growth and platform development.

"Our goal is to democratise the traditional bra fitting experience, making it accessible and personalised for everyone. The funding from GC Angels will help us to grow Brarista and reduce the £10bn annual cost of lingerie returns that take place due to poor fit. With the support of Ranvir and the GC Angels team, we’re looking to expand into new product categories, empower consumers, and have a real impact in the lingerie and fashion markets."
— Bella Trang Ngo, Founder and CEO
Series A
£18.3M

Extantia Capital led the oversubscribed round, which will fund the construction of the company's first plant.

"We’re proving that plastic waste isn’t just a problem to solve—it’s a valuable resource waiting to be unlocked. Using the molecular precision of enzymes at an industrial scale, we’re building the solution set to make all plastics recyclable and doing so at a competitive price. This is what real circularity looks like."
— Jacob Nathan, Founder

The funding was backed by Foresight Group and the Development Bank of Wales to accelerate product development and team expansion.

"We are excited to be working with the Development Bank of Wales on our first joint investment into Nisien AI. We are keen to see the improvements Nisien.AI will provide to online safety and look forward to working together with the Nisien team."
— Ruby Godrich, Investment Manager
