Bailie Group takes a 25% stake in the IT recycling firm to fund growth in the UK defence sector.
A specialist in secure IT asset disposal and electronic recycling that protects sensitive data and supports the circular economy.
S2S Group has secured £500k from Bailie Group in exchange for a 25% stake, marking the investor's first move into the secure IT disposal sector. The Rotherham-based firm plans to use the capital to accelerate growth, drive innovation, and expand its footprint within the UK defence sector as it targets £5.8m in annual turnover.
Operating since 1987, S2S processes redundant IT equipment with certified data wiping and recycling protocols for clients in defence, finance, and education. The funding aligns with Bailie Group's portfolio of cybersecurity and communications businesses, bridging environmental sustainability with national data security.
The investment underscores a growing emphasis on hardware lifecycle management as a critical component of digital defence. With regional operations spanning London, Glasgow, and its South Yorkshire base, S2S is positioning itself to scale its national presence amid rising demand for robust data sanitisation.
