The funding from the UK Space Agency supports the establishment of a new advanced manufacturing facility in Gloucester.

The grant from the UK Space Agency supports the development of advanced semiconductor chips for multi-constellation satellite user terminals.
"This is a great opportunity to accelerate our chipset development enabling us to extend our portfolio of chips for the satellite broadband market with a focus on providing a complete solution for user terminals while reducing cost and power."
The funding will support a sub-orbital rocket test from the SaxaVord spaceport using capital from the National Space Innovation Programme.
"These new projects will help kickstart growth, create more high-quality jobs, protect our planet and preserve the space environment for future generations. They go to the heart of what we want to achieve as a national space agency that supports cutting-edge innovation, spreads opportunity across the UK, and delivers the benefits of space back to citizens on Earth."
The funding comes from the UK government Space Clusters and Infrastructure Fund to scale production at Harwell and Space Park Leicester.
"The UK is a pioneer in many areas of the global space ecosystem and it is initiatives like this from the UK Space Agency and the SCIF which enables its pioneering ecosystem to continue to grow. This funding will accelerate our mission to democratise access to critical space infrastructure by allowing faster integration of bigger payloads onboard our satellites."
The grant from the UK Space Agency will fund infrastructure for planned 2024 launches from the SaxaVord Spaceport.
"Through our £1.5bn UK space funding programmes the Government is backing satcomms technology, space science, missions and infrastructure to support the commercial satellite sector. This £3.5 million investment will enable RFA UK to develop the technologies necessary to launch from SaxaVord Spaceport in Scotland, creating dozens of jobs locally and growing the Scottish cluster as a key part of the UK space sector."
