iCOMAT has secured £4.8m in funding from the UK Space Agency to support the establishment of its new space composites facility in Gloucester. The investment was delivered through the Space Clusters Infrastructure Fund.
The capital contributes to the creation of the Advanced Composites Manufacturing Enterprise factory, which houses automated production lines utilising the company's Rapid Tow Shearing technology. The funding helps advance domestic space manufacturing capabilities and supports sustainable production methods for spacecraft components.
