"This Series B round is a huge vote of confidence in the untapped potential of investing in Europe and Lightyear’s ability to make the difference. Driving meaningful progress in this market means removing barriers to entry and demystifying investing for ordinary people. That’s why we feel so strongly about our vision for AI and the future of investing. Europe is still a society of savers with completely independent tax systems, different regulations and complicated infrastructure – it’s definitely not a one-size-fits-all solution. We’re making huge leaps forward in our mission to enable 750 million Europeans to build meaningful wealth, so it’s an incredibly exciting time for the business right now."
The Series B round was led by ETF Partners, Trill Impact and A&G to support international growth and product expansion.
"Since launch, we’ve viewed Open Cosmos as more than a space tech company; we are agents of change, harnessing the power of satellite data to drive meaningful impact on Earth. Our successful Series B funding, with the support of such prominent ESG and impact investors, is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and innovation."
The Series B round was led by Eight Roads with participation from existing investors including Union Square Ventures and Seedcamp.
"We started Juro in order to make legal contracts frictionless and accessible to everyone. Legacy processes using Word, PDFs and email slow things down not only for lawyers but for everyone who handles contracts. In the last 12 months our customers have processed more than 250,000 contracts in Juro, without leaving their browser. This has saved customers millions of hours of time and helped them to agree terms faster than ever. We are delighted to partner with Eight Roads as we scale up."
FirstMark Capital led the investment round with participation from existing backers and new angel investors.
"We’ve still only scratched the surface of the video economy. In 10 years we believe most of our digital experiences will be powered by video in some way or form. But to truly realize the video-first internet we need a more scalable and accessible way to make video."
The pre-seed round features backing from high-profile angel investors including Taavet Hinrikus and Greg Marsh.
"COVID19 has only made the need for Flown even greater. People working from home sometimes need to escape to find inspiration and fewer distractions. Companies shifting to remote work still need places for their team to regularly collaborate or bond. And never before has our economy been more open-minded and experimental with new ways of working and supporting the needs of their employees."
The funding round was led by Mouro Capital with participation from existing backers and angel investors.
"Uncapped was born out of frustrations I faced launching and running my first business. I didn’t want to take financing from the banks because they all wanted personal guarantees. Venture capital wasn’t ideal either as I didn’t want to lose equity, so I repeatedly missed out on growth opportunities. With this further funding Uncapped is ideally positioned to help hundreds of more businesses across the UK and Europe grow to their full potential."
The round was led by LocalGlobe and will support the development of the company protocol ahead of its public release.
"I see the same revolutionary potential in the Radix team as I did with the Skype and Netscape teams at the birth of the internet. We’re excited to join them at the start of a new decentralised network revolution."
Highland Europe leads a £20m Series B round in Farewill to fund UK expansion and product development.
"Dealing with death is one of the hardest parts of life, and we started Farewill to take some of the pain out of the process. The latest investment from Highland Europe shows their conviction in our vision for fairer, more transparent services in this space. It means we can build on what we’ve started, growing our world-class team and designing easy-to-use tools that help people during incredibly tough times. We’ll also carry on raising millions in pledged legacy income for the third sector, and we’re aiming to get to £1 billion by 2023. There’s a real need for change in this industry and we’re really proud to be leading it."
The round was led by Target Global and will support workforce growth and expansion across Europe.
"When we built Zego from scratch three years ago, our mission was to transform the insurance sector by creating products which truly reflected the rapidly changing world of transport"

"Consumers and employees today expect video-based communication that is tailored to them. For companies it’s difficult to deliver these experiences because the conventional ways of creating video content is a physical process that simply doesn’t scale."
