Synthesia raises £12.5m in a Series A funding round led by FirstMark Capital to scale its artificial intelligence video platform.
FirstMark Capital led the investment round with participation from existing backers and new angel investors.
Synthesia provides an AI-powered video communications platform enabling enterprises to generate and localise videos at scale. The company serves over 60,000 customers worldwide with advanced tools for content creation.
London based artificial intelligence video platform Synthesia has secured £12.5m in a Series A financing round led by FirstMark Capital. The company aims to utilise the fresh capital to drive enterprise user growth and accelerate product and intellectual property development.
The financing also saw participation from new angel investors alongside existing backers including LDV Capital, MMC Ventures, Seedcamp, Mark Cuban, Taavet Hinrikus, Martin Varsavsky, TinyVC, Christian Bach and Michael Buckley. Matt Turck of FirstMark Capital joins the board as part of the transaction.
