SFC Capital led the equity portion of the pre-seed round, which also included a grant from Innovate UK.
"In my last company, we spoke with literally thousands of producers, financiers, distributors and brands. All of them faced the same issue, knowing what they should be creating, selling or buying, as well as how it should be positioned, what were the target markets and what audiences truly wanted. That is what North AI is here to solve"
The funding round was led by XTX Ventures with participation from existing backers including Mercia Ventures and SFC Capital.
"Graide provides transparent, explainable AI, a requirement in today’s world, and can cover all subjects taught from school to university level, saving teacher time. We are pleased to welcome XTX Ventures, which has extensive experience in AI and machine learning, as a new investor in this round."
SFC Capital led the pre-seed round, which will help Furbnow expand its supplier network for home energy upgrades.
"Everyone deserves a warm, comfortable home without costly bills and yet 11.7 million homes sit at the D energy rating or less. Sadly, energy efficiency has been the poor relation to the low-carbon technologies that grab headlines. But if your home is cold and draughty, no amount of Co2 savings is going to be better for you. We’re building Furbnow to be the go-to platform for homeowners who want advice and support as they plan and install low carbon technologies and energy efficiency elements in homes,"
The investment was led by Praetura Ventures to help deploy the Melo platform across National Health Service trusts.
"Acquired brain injury is not a new problem, but the statistics show it is a growing issue, which is causing a strain on both the public and private health sectors. With Melo, our focus is to provide a duty of care to staff who are responsible for looking after ABI patients who may, due to brain injury, express challenging behaviour."
