Furbnow raises £950k in pre-seed funding led by SFC Capital to expand its home decarbonisation platform.

SFC Capital led the pre-seed round, which will help Furbnow expand its supplier network for home energy upgrades.

Furbnow operates an end-to-end home decarbonisation platform designed to streamline household energy efficiency improvements. The Birmingham-based firm provides planning roadmaps and manages installation projects.

Furbnow has secured £950k in pre-seed funding to expand its supplier network and scale its home decarbonisation platform. The investment round was led by SFC Capital, with participation from Norrsken Accelerator and angel investor Daniel Luhde-Thompson. Additional backing came from Innovate UK and the Mission Studio operated by Nesta and Founders Factory.

The capital arrives as the company prepares for a trial with Birmingham City Council to improve energy efficiency for households ineligible for grant funding. Founded by Becky Lane and Laurence Watson, Furbnow aims to simplify the retrofitting process for homeowners.
