The Series C round was co-led by Oxford Science Enterprises and Supernova Invest to support product development.
"When we helped spin Moa out from the University of Oxford’s Plant Sciences Department in 2017, we saw that its technology platform had a unique and important approach to address the market’s need for herbicides capable of breaking weed resistance,"
The extension brings total Series C financing to £18.8m with participation from US investor Modi Ventures.
"This investment reflects strong confidence in our technology, our team, and the impact Brainomix 360 Stroke and e-Lung can have on patient care. Stroke care depends on speed, while lung fibrosis care requires early identification and consistent clinical decision-making over time, underscoring the need for hospital technologies that support clinicians at the point of care. With this investment extension, we are well-positioned to enhance customer support across the US and Europe, accelerating the seamless integration of our technology into existing clinical workflows and expanding access to life-saving treatments."
The London-based energy management platform raised the capital from Cambridge Enterprise Ventures, Cambridge Angels, Parkwalk, and R42 to scale its product development.
"Our mission is straightforward but ambitious: to decarbonise the world’s most complex real estate in a way that is intelligent, automated and scalable. We don’t just tell you what to do, we do it for you. This funding allows us to double down on the growth and product investment needed to compete at scale."
The financing round was backed by BGF, Parkwalk, and Meltwind to drive therapeutics discovery in autoimmune and other common diseases.
"Our founders have led the field by developing technology to map 3D interactions on a whole-genome scale, and integrating these data with comprehensive multi-omics datasets. We now have the technological capabilities to decipher the causal biology that drives complex and common genetic diseases, with the potential to develop truly effective new blockbuster therapies."
