Ultromics develops artificial intelligence powered software that automates echocardiogram analysis to aid in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. The company spun out from the University of Oxford and works alongside the National Health Service.

Oxford based health technology company Ultromics has secured £23.7m in a Series B funding round. The investment was led by the Blue Venture Fund, with additional participation from Optum Ventures, GV, and existing backer Oxford Sciences Innovation.

The capital will be used to accelerate the deployment of the company artificial intelligence platform for echocardiograms, aiming to improve patient outcomes and increase diagnostic efficiency across healthcare systems.

The latest financing brings significant backing from United States based venture capital funds, positioning the company to expand its technology footprint internationally and enhance early detection pathways for heart disease.
