Morningside Group was founded in 1986 by the Chan family of Hong Kong to make private equity and venture capital investments. The group is managed by entrepreneurial investment professionals.
Isaac serves as an investment professional at Morningside Technology Advisory. His background includes research and development leadership at Serica Technologies and clinical development roles at Novartis.
The financing round was led by EQT Life Sciences alongside co-leads Advent Life Sciences and British Business Bank.
"This Series B financing marks a defining moment for Cyted as we continue to deepen our commitment to detecting esophageal diseases earlier. This investment will help us consolidate our leading position in the market by expanding our US presence and adding new life-saving innovations to our advanced diagnostics portfolio."
The oversubscribed round included backing from Molten Ventures, Morningside, DCVC, Cambridge Consultants, Civilization Ventures and Providence.
"This substantial investment round demonstrates continued confidence in the progress of our technical development and its potential to revolutionise the accessibility of gene synthesis. Evonetix is in a very exciting phase, having recently opened our early access program. This investment will support us as we execute on our commercial strategy to put benchtop gene synthesis in the hands of users."
Morningside Ventures led the seed investment to help PsycApps expand its team and further develop its mental health game, eQuoo.
"After working in an NHS priory, I realised that my clients were reaching me way too late – often after six months on a waitlist and years after experiencing the first symptoms. I wanted to find a way to give them the skill set they needed before they needed it. If a student drops out of their course due to mental health issues, it will change their lives in a way that hurts them and society. With eQuoo we give young adults a tool that helps them grow mentally, stay mentally healthy and get help if they’re experiencing issues."
Morningside led the Series B financing to support regulatory approvals and market entry for clinical software treatments.
"At ieso, we’re looking to transform global mental health by unlocking the power of clinical data to develop AI-enabled digital therapeutics. Our experience delivering outstanding mental health care within the NHS ideally places us for starting to tackle this challenge. A new generation of clinically-validated digital mental health care products could ultimately improve millions of lives. But we cannot do this alone, and look forward to working with our patients, clinicians, investors, as well as existing and future partners, to better serve those who require mental health support."
The financing round was led by BGF with participation from new and existing backers to support clinical development.
"We are thrilled to include this exceptional group of investors in PhoreMost’s Series B funding round. We are grateful for the continued support of existing investors and are delighted to welcome BGF, alongside strategic investors XtalPi with whom we have a highly valued ongoing research collaboration, and Astellas Venture Management."
