The funding follows the assembly of a coalition of major British institutions to co-design a domestic AI model.
"AI is the single most important technology of our generation. Enterprises are increasingly waking up to the risk of being wholly dependent on foreign providers for this technology. Vendor lock-in creates security risk, dependency risk, and cost escalation risks,"
The Cardiff-based space tech startup has secured the largest Series A round in the UK sector to advance its in-orbit manufacturing missions.
"This funding marks a significant milestone-not just for Space Forge, but for the entire space economy. With the backing of our investors, we're accelerating our mission to make space a practical and accessible platform for industrial-scale manufacturing. Our upcoming launches will prove that the future of materials innovation lies beyond Earth, helping us build a more secure, sustainable, and technologically advanced world."
The seed round was co-led by Montage Ventures and AIX Ventures to fund asset expansion and clinical trials.
"We're thrilled to have the support of this leading investor syndicate in our mission to rescue promising yet struggling drugs with our technology. Traditional safety assessments reveal when something is wrong, but our platform goes a step further by identifying the exact molecular and biological issues to provide actionable insights to re-engineer and revive therapies. With this funding, we can expand our efforts to salvage distressed assets and accelerate the delivery of life-saving therapies to patients."
The financing round was led by Khosla Ventures with participation from Gaingels and Illusian.
"The global behavioral healthcare sector is grappling with a critical workforce supply challenge. Care providers are experiencing burnout, and services are stretched thin, operating on slim margins."
Valar Ventures led the seed financing alongside participants BNY Mellon, Third Prime and Gaingels to support product development.
"We’re proud to support AbbeyCross in their seed funding round. Their mission to improve execution quality and transparency for Emerging Markets is aligned to our desire to continue improving the FX market for our clients. It reflects our commitment to emerging technology partnerships that accelerate market structure enhancements and enable us to better serve our clients. We look forward to working with the AbbeyCross team and other market participants to unlock this potential."
