QVentures led the pre-seed round with backing from Episode1 and industry angels to support the Meristem platform.

The seed round was led by Episode1 with backing from Seedcamp, Cambridge Enterprise, and January Ventures to fund DNA testing kits and platform development.
"We urgently need more people contributing to medical science, but the gap between those wanting to take part and actually knowing how to is huge. The scientific community has long relied on time-starved doctors signposting patients to clinical trials which just isn’t an effective way to get decent levels of participation. The pandemic has added further challenges, as many patients with rare and chronic diseases are unable to safely leave home."
LocalGlobe has led a £3.7m seed round for quantum software developer Phasecraft, with participation from Episode1 and previous backers.
"Already in the past two years quantum hardware has surpassed expectations, achieving milestones that seemed decades away. By pioneering new advances in quantum software, Phasecraft can take quantum theory from research to reality, faster. With new funding and supporters, we can be part of building the foundations of the quantum computing industry, making useful applications available quicker than ever thought."
The seed round was led by IQ Capital with participation from Episode1, Join, and Seraphim Capital.
