The pre-seed round was led by the Development Bank of Wales to support team expansion and platform development.
"Our platform captures accurate, intelligent, real-time insights into the movement of people and vehicles – without infringing on individual privacy – to enable better, more efficient traffic management, place-making and urban planning across towns and cities globally. From reducing wait times at traffic lights and easing congestion for emergency services access, to improving customer experiences at stadiums and retail outlets, the application of accurate and anonymous movement insights has universal potential."
The funding supports the purchase of the site and enables refurbishment works and kitchen modernisation.
"We’re both very people focussed and enjoy meeting new people so we wanted to use these skills to try a new venture that gave us the opportunity to invest in our future; something that combined our love of the outdoors, camping, caravanning and food. The Rising Sun ticked all the boxes plus it is local to our hometowns of Haverfordwest and St Davids."
The Cardiff medtech firm secured the capital from existing shareholders including the Development Bank of Wales and Wealth Club members.
"This has been another important year of growth and development for Bond Digital Health. Now that we have several international customers signed up to our platform, we need to make sure we successfully service their needs 24/7. This funding will help us do that by ensuring we have the right people in the right roles. I’d like to put on record my thanks to the Development Bank of Wales and Wealth Club for helping us get to this point."
"Our vision is a community where school pathways and future career choices for all young people are equally valued and respected. With the support of the Development Bank and our syndicate of business angels, we can now reach out to so many more youngsters initially across the UK, and then abroad; helping them to grow into capable, healthy, well-rounded individuals who can become ambitious, resourceful and successful adults."
The funding round includes backing from strategic and regional investors to support the rollout of Female Hormone Mapping.
"Today, more and more people are realising that understanding and measuring your body’s biochemistry is key for a long and healthy life. For women in particular, gaining unique insight into how their hormone levels fluctuate throughout their unique cycle can give women the support they have been lacking and help to close the gender health gap"
