Winfred reads them overnight, pulls out the facts, checks them against Companies House and files them. It was built by C8VA, who do the same kind of work for other businesses: turning messy, unstructured material into something you can search, count and rely on.
The British Design Fund provided £230k toward a wider £400k raise to advance manufacturing and overseas expansion.
"The moment that changed everything for me was standing in a salmon processing plant and seeing thousands of single‑use EPS boxes piled up, destined for landfill or worse. It was truly shocking. I’d spent years in the seafood industry but witnessing that scale of waste in one place made the environmental cost impossible to ignore. I knew then that something had to change, and that experience has driven me ever since to prove that we can replace EPS with sustainable materials that protect both the product and the planet."

The Cranfield University spinout secured backing from DSW Ventures and Innovate UK to scale its engineering team and platform capabilities.
"We’re at the point where both advanced manufacturing and AI-native engineering need the same thing: faithful meshes from geometry that legacy tools simply can’t handle. ChopMesh is built natively for exactly that geometry, which uniquely positions us to serve both today’s aerospace and industrial engineers and the fast growing class of Phsyics-AI companies that depend on high-quality mesh data. This funding is a strong endorsement of that mission and the team behind it."
