The Cranfield University spinout secured backing from DSW Ventures and Innovate UK to scale its engineering team and platform capabilities.

£800KSeed

Voxshell develops automated meshing infrastructure designed for advanced engineering simulation and manufacturing.

Voxshell has secured £800k in a seed funding round led by DSW Ventures, with additional backing from Innovate UK. The capital will be directed towards expanding the engineering team, enhancing platform workflow automation, and extending commercial partnerships.

The Cranfield University spinout has developed ChopMesh, a proprietary platform built to process complex implicit geometries natively for engineering simulation. The technology aims to eliminate the bottlenecks associated with legacy meshing tools, which often require extensive manual intervention or force engineers to compromise on design fidelity.

Since its formation, the company has secured paying customers and active pilots with major aerospace manufacturers. The fresh injection of funds will support ongoing software development, including a high-performance version capable of handling large-scale batch processing.

From the founder

"We’re at the point where both advanced manufacturing and AI-native engineering need the same thing: faithful meshes from geometry that legacy tools simply can’t handle. ChopMesh is built natively for exactly that geometry, which uniquely positions us to serve both today’s aerospace and industrial engineers and the fast growing class of Phsyics-AI companies that depend on high-quality mesh data. This funding is a strong endorsement of that mission and the team behind it."

Investor perspective

"In a short space of time, Voxshell has already gained significant traction among customers and OEMs. We’re proud to be backing this innovative business as it continues to advance its proprietary ChopMesh platform. The team’s breakthrough positions the platform uniquely to fuel the data-hunger Physics-AI industry and drive the next generation of engineering simulation software."
