One Equity Partners has provided Infobip with its first outside capital to pursue strategic acquisitions in North America.

"OEP is excited to partner with Infobip’s co-founders, CEO Silvio Kutić, Roberto Kutić and Izabel Jelenić. Together, we have a shared vision to further accelerate Infobip’s pre-IPO growth in North America and globally by executing a series of identified strategic acquisitions,"

The funding round was backed by Northstar Ventures and angel investor Andrew Robson to support product development.

"On average, we check our smartphones every 12 minutes – they’re always in our immediate reach. Text giving is a really simple and accessible way for anyone to make a one-off or monthly donation to a charity in less than a minute."
— Chris Newell, CEO
£100K

The funding was led by Kelvin Capital alongside co-investors to support commercialisation and new licensing partnerships.

"In applications like mobile phones, with companies looking to remove headphone and power connectors, it’s increasingly difficult for musicians and other users to interact with these massively powerful and convenient devices, and with the developments in the next generation of Wi-Fi bringing massive data capability over huge physical areas, the future applications for real time audio streaming over Wi-Fi are vast across music, entertainment and communications"
— John Crawford, Chief Executive
£1.0M

The leisure-focused investor backs the guest Wi-Fi provider in its first technology sector investment.

"We are delighted to partner with the team at Wireless Social. Our investment enables ongoing tech innovation, including the development of a new-to-market platform designed to simplify brand-sponsored email and SMS campaigns in real time, when consumers are in the venues. This platform, branded Hedgehog, is a key sales-enabled marketing tool and meets the high demand we see from a significant range of leisure and hospitality brands. Our support will also help create a number of key jobs as the Chorley-based tech firm expands its Sales, Product Development, Customer Support, and Marketing departments. Wireless Social has expansion plans for the US market where there is a significant opportunity for their hospitality-focused service and transformative Hedgehog solution."
— Darrel Connell, Partner
Series B
£14.0M

The Series B round was led by Temasek and the Scottish Investment Bank to fund the development of mobile-ready LiFi components.

"Device manufacturers are looking for new ways to provide devices with faster, more reliable and secure connectivity. LiFi is the natural next step in the evolution of global wireless communications and pureLiFi is leading the way to provide this technology to the market."
— Alistair Banham, CEO
