The web browser company secured backing from a consortium of high profile angel investors following a television appearance.

"Things have really taken off since I was in the Den! We’ve seen such an incredible response, with over 1.5M people visiting our website and hundreds of thousands downloading Gener8. It feels like a movement is starting."
— Sam Jones, Founder

Maven Capital Partners led the Series A follow on round with participation from regional funds and private investors to scale operations and expand the team.

"Oak is a proven, fast growing technology business led by strong, experienced management team. The platform is globally scalable and as employee engagement is becoming increasingly recognised as pivotal in the overall success of a business, Oak continues to secure a number of impressive customer contacts. We look forward to working with Will and the team as the company scales further and continues to expand."
— Michael Vassallo, Investment Partner

£8.3M

The Series A round was led by Octopus Ventures to support team expansion and product development.

"The subscription economy is rapidly transforming the way we access products and services – yet the smartphone, an individual’s most valuable device, is still locked behind a bundled, ownership-based model. This means most people are trapped in a buy-and-dispose cycle, with a steep financial and environmental costs."
— Tosin Agbabiaka, Principal

The seed round was backed by Seaya Ventures, Speedinvest and SIX FinTech Ventures to support international expansion and team growth.

"After exiting the last business we kept getting pulled towards FinTech. With our backgrounds in SaaS and operating in the FinTech space, many opportunities came to us from banks, startups and big brands. We kept seeing the same problem, and no solution in the market. Regulation has changed and Banking-as-a-Service provided the plumbing for new solutions, but everyone was still building solutions from scratch. It felt like the same situation that has occurred again and again in the software industry before a new sector emerged, and we had an opportunity to be a first-mover to deliver a meaningful solution, with FinTech SaaS."
— Eduardo Martínez, Co-Founder and CEO
Series A
£10.8M

Eli Lilly and Company backed the round to support the development of the company's internal pipeline.

"We welcome Lilly as an important shareholder in MiNA. This investment from Lilly, together with our recently announced multi-target research collaboration, represents an important endorsement of our saRNA platform."
— Robert Habib, CEO
