Purple Dot operates an ecommerce platform that enables fashion brands to manage pre-orders and waitlists. The system aims to align manufacturing quantities with actual consumer demand.
Purple Dot has secured $4m in a funding round led by Unusual Ventures. The capital will support the company as it develops its waitlist platform designed to help fashion brands align inventory with actual consumer demand and reduce waste.
The financing also drew participation from Connect Ventures, Moxxie Ventures, and the family office of Paul Forster, co-founder of Indeed. The UK startup, established in 2019 by former Skyscanner personnel, provides tooling that permits retailers to sell stock before it reaches the warehouse.
The business intends to build on its proposition, which integrates with platforms like Shopify Plus to offer advanced checkout and payout features. The latest injection of funds follows growing market interest in supply chain optimisation and pre-order models.
