The London-based technology startup develops digital solutions to modernise ordering, payments and amenities for the hospitality industry.

The hospitality technology provider theUp.co has secured £7m in a Series A funding round to accelerate its expansion across the UK and Europe. The investment was backed by participants including JamJar Investments, Tom Blomfield and Jägermeister through its investment unit, with the round led by a leading private global investor. The capital will be deployed to support team growth and fund the development of a comprehensive super app designed to unify the company's existing services.

Founded in 2017, the London-based firm originally launched as a mobile phone charging network before expanding into hand sanitiser stations and mobile order and payment systems during the pandemic. The forthcoming platform will combine its ChargedUp and ServedUp offerings into a single ecosystem aimed at streamlining venue discovery, bookings and payments.
