LAUNCHub and daFUND have backed the analytics software provider in its latest funding round.
"When not everyone is in the office it’s really challenging to understand if you are moving in the right direction both as an individual and as a team. Most software focuses on tactical information such as the status of tasks. The burning questions however are at a completely different level: Are we getting faster or better, and are we burning out in the process?"
The pre-seed round was led by the Development Bank of Wales to support team expansion and platform development.
"Our platform captures accurate, intelligent, real-time insights into the movement of people and vehicles – without infringing on individual privacy – to enable better, more efficient traffic management, place-making and urban planning across towns and cities globally. From reducing wait times at traffic lights and easing congestion for emergency services access, to improving customer experiences at stadiums and retail outlets, the application of accurate and anonymous movement insights has universal potential."
The seed round was led by 1818 Venture Capital to support product and engineering recruitment.
"We met some fathers in a small town outside Rochdale. Hearing their experience of transport poverty – they were looking for work, there were opportunities just a 15-minute drive away, but they couldn’t drive and there was no viable way to get there by public transport – was mind-blowing."
The pre-seed round was led by firstminute Capital with backing from SeedX and Haatch Ventures.
"Instead of yet another one-click checkout, Volume is building the world’s first-ever transparent checkout. Ecommerce has a ‘hidden tax’ in the form of payment commissions to cards and ewallets, and consumers don’t know this ultimately impacts on the prices they pay. We want to finally bring transparency to this enormous market and kill all hidden fees. What Transferwise did for cross-border payments, we’ll do for online payments. We estimate that if every merchant were to implement our solution, the ecommerce industry could save $800 billion in fees."
The funding from Hill's Pet Nutrition and Correlation One Holdings will support operations and strategic collaborations.
"We’re delighted to confirm these really important funding rounds with two long-term strategic partners. They will help us undertake innovative work to provide a much-needed bridge between digital and face-to-face veterinary care. This combined approach will support even more pets and clinical professionals to thrive."
