Global banking firm HSBC joined the Series C round with a strategic investment after four years as a customer.
"HSBC provided important feedback in the early days of our product development, and we’ve successfully expanded our relationship with the bank over the last four years as our platform has evolved. HSBC’s investment is indicative of the impact that we’ve had on their business, and the opportunity that exists for us to help data-driven organizations worldwide with sensitive data management and data privacy."
The company raised the capital from new and existing backers to support the rollout of home-learning tools.
"Given the backdrop, to attract such strong investor interest is extremely pleasing. The new funding will help us to continue our mission to protect children on mobile devices, whether at school or in the home. Mobile Guardian was already gaining traction as more and more schools around the world began to use remote learning as a key part of a child's education. The lockdown has accelerated the trend, and I want to thank all our staff who have been working hard to support clients from remote locations. Mobile Guardian has an exciting future."
The seed round was led by QBN Capital to fund the development of new privacy-enhancing collaboration tools.
"We are very excited to be building a platform to meet the demands of our enterprise clients to do more with their data, while keeping it safe, secure and private. We have now received funding from a strategic venture capital firm, QBN Capital, and we look forward to further developing our privacy-preserving technology and working with them to extend our reach into the Asian markets."
TPG Growth led the Series D financing to help the company scale its identity verification platform.
"Over the coming years, we’ll all be able to use our real identity to seamlessly access everything from financial services, online healthcare and trust marketplaces, to self-check-ins at airports, hotels and car rentals,"
The data privacy platform aims to accelerate international expansion and increase headcount following backing from Warburg Pincus.
"Large enterprises in regulated industries like financial services and healthcare have been early adopters of data privacy solutions, but all companies should look for ways to use data more safely and more effectively. Managing sensitive data at enterprise scale and complexity is a real challenge for even the most sophisticated data organizations. By automating the enforcement of data protection strategies, Privitar’s platform makes this achievable in any data-driven organization. We are excited to partner with Warburg Pincus as we continue to pioneer the category."
