Global banking firm HSBC joined the Series C round with a strategic investment after four years as a customer.
Privatar provides a data privacy platform that enables enterprises to manage sensitive information securely and extract value from their datasets. The firm maintains its headquarters in London alongside operations in several international regions.
Privatar has secured £5.6m in a Series C follow on investment from HSBC, bringing the total round to $87m. The funding deepens a relationship that began when the global bank became a customer in 2016.
The capital addition reinforces Privatar's data privacy platform as HSBC expands its deployment across analytics and cloud adoption initiatives. HSBC made the commitment through its corporate venture capital arm.
