DSW Angels backed the Manchester-based market intelligence firm in a rapid fundraise.
"We have achieved a lot in our first three years as a business, working with some of the leading global brands, building an incredible 30-plus strong team who continue to collaborate and innovate in a way which I have never witnessed before, and winning critical acclaim and coveted industry awards. The investment from DSW is an important next step to enable our further international expansion and to increase our investment in our research and technology-based teams in Manchester. I am also delighted to welcome Stefan to the team, whose experience will be of great benefit as we scale up our business on all fronts."
The London based lift sharing start up secured funding from angel backers to drive expansion.
"The idea and our concept resonated so well we were fortunate to be oversubscribed at our last fundraise, which was completed prior to lockdown. We, along with our investors, truly believe that the opportunity and timing is right to really make a difference to mobility across the Globe"
The funding round was led by GC Angels alongside the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and private angels to support team expansion.
"Twine has incredible potential, and we are looking forward to watching it grow as more businesses turn to quality freelancers. We are particularly pleased that the investment comes during the Creative Scale-Up Programme, delivered by our sister company GC Business Growth Hub, which we support by encouraging investment into creative businesses like Twine."
The funding round was led by P101 SGR with participation from Maire Investments, LUISS Alumni 4 Growth, and Primomiglio SGR.
"We cannot underestimate the security risks of remote working – without a solution that combines a zero-trust framework with biometric multi-factor authentication, corporate systems and databases are at risk of being compromised in large-scale, sophisticated hacking and phishing attacks,"
