Guiide secures undisclosed investment to support its free pension planning platform

The Scottish fintech secured funding to continue helping individuals improve their retirement outcomes.

Scottish financial technology startup Guiide provides a free online calculator and planning tools to help individuals manage their own pensions and retirement income without paid professional advice.

Scottish fintech startup Guiide has secured an undisclosed round of investment to support its free pension calculator and planning platform. Founded by Kevin Hollister, the company aims to bridge the advice gap for individuals who do not take paid financial advice for their pensions. The fresh funds will help the platform continue assisting users in improving their retirement outcomes.

The free tool was developed to handle complex calculations and build personalised retirement plans while helping users minimise tax liabilities and provider charges. Following the introduction of the 2015 Pensions Freedoms Act, the platform addresses the large unadvised market by providing accessible guidance for retirement planning.

From the founder

"When The Pension Freedoms were introduced I immediately knew people are going to need help here. It took a number of years to build, test and improve. All the time I was thinking I can’t be the only person thinking this, but have been surprised by the lack of other offerings that have emerged. We’re really looking forward to seeing what the future holds."
