"Every parent knows the feeling of being stuck in daily device battles – you set the rules for your child but their friends don’t have any, so suddenly you’re the mean parent. But I know from experience with my own children and their screen time that these rules are absolutely essential not just to preserve the conditions necessary for healthy childhood development, but to teach them good digital habits that’ll protect them while they’re online. That’s ultimately why I left a career in consulting to found Orbiri. I genuinely believe that you can’t win as a parent acting alone – we’re facing a systemic challenge that requires collective action."
The Belfast-based app developer has closed a pre-seed round to scale its team and enter the US market.
"The reality is the big tech companies have monetised our time and attention. Every second spent on their platforms translates to revenue. The incentivisation model is all wrong, which is why we as a society are realising a broad range of negative outcomes, from diminishing attention spans to rising anxiety and body image issues. Our mission is to restore individual agency, empowering people to lead healthy, intentional and fulfilling lives."
The pre-seed round was led by DSW Ventures with participation from York Angels and international angel investors.
"We’re thrilled to have the backing of DSW Ventures, York Angels, and our wider investor group as we build the go-to platform for hybrid fitness athletes. This investment allows us to accelerate product development, enhance the user experience, and grow our footprint within the Hyrox and wider hybrid fitness communities. As athletes ourselves, we’ve built RoxFit to solve real problems we’ve experienced, and this funding brings us one step closer to helping thousands more to train smarter and race better."
The Series A round was led by Nauta Capital with backing from several notable investors.
"The way people discover travel has changed. They don't sift through endless search results—they get inspired by creators who are exploring the world and sharing their experiences. Unravel bridges that gap, turning creator-shot videos into seamless, AI-powered booking experiences."
Phil Hollingdale led the funding round and assumes the role of Chairman as the company expands internationally.

Inclusive workplaces are essential for both business success and social progress, and myGwork is at the forefront of driving this change globally. With this latest investment, we are well-positioned to expand internationally, enhance our offerings, and empower even more businesses and professionals to build truly inclusive environments. I look forward to supporting the team as Chairman and helping shape the next phase of myGwork’s success."
