Dubai blockchain investor O1ex backed the London neo bank in its latest round.
"India has tremendous potential in its fintech sector. We believe that the next big evolution in the Banking and Crypto space can actually happen from India. Hence, we have been actively working on developing products, working on our infrastructure, and recruitments to power our entry into the Indian market. Apart from India, we will also tap into the African and Caribbean market."
Alpha Sigma Capital led the seed investment to help Quant Network expand its blockchain interoperability technology into new markets.
"We just recognized that Quant is doing what Ripple promised. Quant and SIA Europe successfully tested cross-blockchain interoperability between multiple Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) protocols on SIA’s inter-bank network, SIAnet. SIA is the backbone for financial institutions, central banks, corporates, and the public sector to process their transactions. It was clear that Quant’s operating system provides the layer for blockchain interoperability in the financial services sector."
The seed round was led by QBN Capital to fund the development of new privacy-enhancing collaboration tools.
"We are very excited to be building a platform to meet the demands of our enterprise clients to do more with their data, while keeping it safe, secure and private. We have now received funding from a strategic venture capital firm, QBN Capital, and we look forward to further developing our privacy-preserving technology and working with them to extend our reach into the Asian markets."
